作为超冷门工科，国外开设测绘专业的学校屈指可数（国内985也只有武大同济中南有，GIS的学校会偏多些），再加之本科学校在本专业上已经可以吊打国外大半学校（亚洲第一，世界前三，不是虚名），保研考研留校的还是大多数，不转专业出国读研/博的意义可能不是很大。

硬要转专业也要掂量下自己的实力，不要像我这样强转CS/Robotics等热门学科（差点吃全聚德）。当然院里也有三维爆表的大神转专业申CMU热门项目成功的。

个人认为小转urban planning, environmental engineering/science，earth science 之类相对冷门但开设学校很多的学科，去个综排比较好的学校（如藤校，伯克利，牛剑帝国理工等）曲线救国，再另寻出路也不错。

小转地理申UCSB，UW-Madison，由于招的人太少，竞争程度不比CS小多少，将来不打算走学术道路的不用考虑。

其实武大测绘作为行业领头羊，很多出国机会可以向本院老师了解更多，我们学院的老师大部分都有海外留学经历，且与国内外领域专家都有密切联系和合作，他们对这专业学校这方面的了解非常的多，如果有他们直接推荐联系（俗称内推）申请基本是稳的。

小转专业的话，比如遥感测绘，GIS，geoscience，工程管理（有哥大学姐），城市规划（有康奈尔学姐），环境工程，还有些城市相关的分析，比如Smart Cities and Urban Analytics，Spatial data analytics/science, Spatial Informatics等等都可以考虑。
Smaller studies, such as remote sensing mapping, GIS, geoscience, engineering management (with sister-in-law at Koko University), urban planning (with sister-in-law at Cornell), environmental engineering, and some city-related analyses, such as Smart Cities and Urban Analytics, Spatial data analytics/science, Space Infrastructures, etc., can be considered.
大转专业的话就是计算机，信息科学，数据科学，商业分析等工科相关专业，近年来这些专业也是申请的大热门，申请难度不小，如果想申请到比较满意的学校的话，科研实习三维，各方面都需要做好充足的准备，已知有去港大DS，港中文MIS，美国CMU等等的先例。

转城市规划的话，一般正常偏上三维（100+，320+，3.6+），哥大/宾大/康奈尔这样的藤校其实就不是特别难够到，很有希望。冷门专业，相比CS/金工这种，其实大部分只需要靠拼三维就可以，有科研实习肯定更加加分。

但是城规在国外属于偏文和设计类的，就业不是那么好（尤其是偏政策类的）因为城规基本都是非STEM项目，所以大部分同学会曲线救国转专业或者是回国发展(藤校回国发展大部分也是不错的)。之前有了解到武测一个康奈尔的学姐，读完城规之后转博了。

为什么大家想申STEM呢?

因为STEM专业同学可使用的OPT时长有36个月，即你有三年时间可以在美国找工作，有三次抽签的机会。抽到了你就可以继续留美，抽不中就得卷铺盖走人了（所以运气也很重要啊）。

所以大部分理工科的同学都会申STEM项目，这样对回国和留美就业，你的选择可以更加广一些。但是很遗憾，大部分城市规划的项目属于非STEM，即你只有一年OPT时间，如果找不到工作，就可能得继续往上读或者回国就业了。

这里，尤其说一下宾大的城规，前几年变成STEM项目了，里面包含有智慧城市Smart Cities，智能交通，基础设施建设这样的小分支，就业相对来说还算比较不错，值得推荐。
