OP_CTV is also being considered as an alternative to OP_CAT. This broader update, proposed by the Bitcoin Core Developer and Chief Executive Officer of the Bitcoin Research Institute, Jeremy Rubin, performs a similar function. OP_CTV allows users to automatically send a bitcoin to a specific address every month, but if the address of the user is hacked, all bitcoins may be sent to the cold bank. Rubin states that the function will allow people to create derivative options.
