尾随送葬队伍起歹意　敲诈50万个USDT币

　　2021年秋，赵某在浙江省永嘉县某街道偶遇一支送葬队伍，听说对方姓杨家里经商，他心里就起了敲诈对方的歹念，遂跟随队伍到了墓地，确认了位置。11月，赵某再次来到墓地找到了杨氏墓碑，从中盗取出骨灰盒后将墓地恢复原样，再把骨灰盒藏到邻近的山上。几天后，赵某通过他人，以跑腿送信的方式联系上死者女儿杨某，以损毁骨灰盒相要挟向杨某索要50万个USDT货币（当时价值约319万元）。

In the autumn of 2021, Zhao-Xiao ran into a funeral team on a street in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, and learned that he was doing business with Yang's family, he followed the group to the cemetery and confirmed his position. In November, Zhao-Xiao returned to the cemetery to find Yang's gravestone, where he stole the urn and took it back and hid it on a nearby hill. A few days later, Zhao-Xiao contacted Yang's daughter by means of a run-off letter and threatened him with 500,000 USDT currency (at that time worth approximately $3.19 million) for the destruction of the urn box.

　　杨某被迫与之谈判，最终“砍价”到用4万个USDT货币赎回其父亲的骨灰盒。在这个过程中，赵某态度十分恶劣，坚持要用USDT货币交易，并只给了2天时间让杨某筹措。几经周折，杨某分别于2022年1月18日、20日委托在国外的朋友以约26万元的价格购买了4万个USDT货币，并将货币转到赵某的指定账户内。

In the process, Zhao insisted on dealing in the USDT currency and gave Yang only two days to raise it. On 18 and 20 January 2022, Yang commissioned his friends abroad to buy 40,000 USDT at a price of about 260,000 yuan and to transfer the money to Zhao’s designated account.

　　在收到4万个USDT货币后，赵某仍拒绝归还骨灰盒，继续向杨某索要16万个USDT货币，并称这是自己的“底线”。忍无可忍的杨某选择报警，后赵某被抓获归案。

After receiving 40,000 USDT currencies, Zhao still refused to return the urn and continued to ask Yang for 160,000 USDT currencies, calling it his “bottom line”; the patient Yang chose to call the police and then Zhao was captured.

　　到案后，赵某对自己的犯罪事实供认不讳。赵某供述称，他于2019年承包矿场亏了100余万元，后在国外投资餐饮又因为疫情亏损严重，欠下很多钱。而且，他患有高血糖、脑血管阻塞，急需做手术，所以才会铤而走险。之所以要以USDT货币交易，是因为他了解到虚拟货币交易比较复杂，不容易被公安机关查获。经永嘉县检察院以涉嫌敲诈勒索罪对其提起公诉后，7月11日，法院判处赵某有期徒刑七年。

Zhao said that he had lost more than 1 million yuan in 2019 at the contracted mine, and that he had invested in meals abroad because of the serious damage caused by the disease. Moreover, he suffered from high blood sugar, cerebrovascular blockage, and was in urgent need of surgery, so he took a risk. The USDT currency deal was made because he learned that virtual currency transactions were complicated and were not easy to capture by the public security authorities. On 11 July, the court sentenced Zhao to seven years in prison after he was charged with extortion.
