7月1日，周六，日本新版消费税正式生效，比特币交易正式不再需要缴纳8%的消费税。同一天，澳大利亚也正式结束了比特币双重税。日本比特币交易量最高的交易所Bitflyer首席执行官Yuzo Kano在采访中讲述了这一政策更改对比特币在日本的影响。
